Meet Our Pastors
LEAD PASTORS

Brian and Amy McClane

Brian McClane was called to the ministry as a teen while giving an altar call in a youth production.  The Lord asked him if he would do this for the rest of his life.  Brian’s heart has been for seeing lives transformed ever since.

Amy felt a call as a young girl but saw no real path of ministry for a woman.

When the couple married in 1981, she believed that call would be fulfilled as a pastor’s wife.  It wasn’t until several years later that God corrected that misnomer and called Amy to proclaim the good news, bind up the brokenhearted and set the captive free.

The McClane’s came to NPC in 2005 as a lead team.  They share in the ministry of the word from the pulpit and in the privilege of leading the body of Christ. Their heart is to lead people to Christ, help them grow in their walk and release them to serve others.

The McClane’s are both graduates of SAGU.  Brian has an MTS and MBA.  Amy has an MDIV. Both are ordained with the Assemblies of God.

Mission

“extending God’s grace and unconditional love to all people.”

Speak Life

Proverbs 18:21 (NIV) The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

John 14:6 (NIV) Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

If we truly want to change the destiny of individuals then we must come into agreement with what God says by giving them a hope for their future. By sharing Jesus Christ we speak life into every situation.

Our primary purpose at NorthPointe is to connect people to God through the saving grace of Jesus Christ. This is life itself.

Live Truth

Psalms 25:5 (NIV) guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

In a world where truth is relevant, the church must have a firm knowledge of what truth is and we must live by the truth of God. To live truth means we do not live for ourselves. We do not make excuses. Discipleship is the means to train us to live according to God’s truths.

Our secondary purpose is to connect people to each other through discipleship and small groups.

Seek Justice

Psalms 33:5 (NIV) The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.

God is a just God and we must be a just people. God is no respecter of persons. He values all people equally. We must see others through God’s eyes not through our past experiences or prejudices. Part of serving God is serving others.

Thus, our third goal is to connect to others through service and mission.

Spirit Led

Romans 8:14 (NLT) For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.

NorthPointe’s purpose and mission can only be accomplished by being open to the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit in every area of our lives. We as a church must model this process.
